The first performance

It's been a long time since this performance, but it was my first ever as part of a band so I finally decided to put this up. Also, today I am celebrating 'Experiment with Blogger' day while I wait for the clock to strike midnight and Jasleen's birthday to commence (at which time I will start getting drunk- teeheehee). I fully agree that putting a link in a post and then going on like everyone can see the link's content is somewhat retarded but I only have a 200MB video of this which promises to upload itself in a trifling 15 hrs on my internet connection.

We played the song at the prelims of the "Battle of Bands" in Xteme sports bar(Hyderabad) and was the first song I ever wrote (*applause* all around!!!!). As an aside, let me introduce... "The Turning Brain" with

* Jonas David - Vocals
* Mohtashim Khan - Lead Guitars
* Kislay Verma - Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals
* Nishanth M. B. Pais - Bass Guitar
* Aaabhaas Khanna - Drums

The man on the vox in the video, however, is Mr.Anirudh Voleti, who unfortunately, is with us nor more (as in he has left the band and is involved in great musical going ons in Delhi these days).

We are working on some more stuff, Let's hope it comes out soon. Really looking forward to 2010.

Lyrics - Nobody's man

This is a song that I recently wrote. It's still one line short of being complete but I still felt like putting it here because you know - F*** that S*** smile.gif

Nobody's man

People wanting me to be someone else
Making such a sad waste of myself
There is one thing that I know to be true
I’ve got some faults and they’ve got a few

The boy who lives next door is really kind
And the one upstairs talks really fine
A little more of this a little less of that
No one really thinking of what I’m at

I’m nobody’s man

It bothers everyone that I speak my mind
But honesty is so very rare to find
The stupid man is always getting into a fight
Always sticking up for what he thinks is right

You are good at math but love soccer too
Nothing less than A will ever do

But the neighbours' kid is always top of his class

I’m nobody’s man

People wanting me to be someone else
Making such a sad waste of myself
There is one thing that I know to be true
I’ve got some faults and they’ve got a few

You can live your life or they can live it for you
Earn my respect, I pay where its due
I’m what I am, it’s on my head
I’ll be nobody else, I’d rather be dead

I’m nobody’s man
